Annual General Meeting 2014

MCOBA Australia wishes to thank all who were present at the Annual General Meeting held on 25th October 2014 at the Cavaliers Cricket Club in Clayton.

The association paid tribute to the out-going president Manoj Fernando and his committee for taking the association through two highly successful years. Pramod (Patrick) Somasiri was unanimously elected President for the coming year with Gayan Ariyaratne as Secretary and Sagara Vithanage as Treasurer. Mahanama Juniors Win

Mahanama College, Colombo scored a 49 run win over St. Sylvester's College, Kandy in their under 15 division one schools final round cricket match played at Police Grounds, Kandy on 7th August 2015.

Match winner for Mahanama was Pawantha Weerasinghe who scored a hard hit 88 with 3 sixes and 10 fours.

Mahanama College 247 all out in 50 overs (Pawantha Weerasinghe 88, Pasindu Jayaranjana 43, G. Gimhana Panditharatne 25, Risira Weerasinghe 18, Manoharan Parlitharan 4 for 56, Chandrabahu Niroshan 2 for 34).

St. Sylvester's College 198 all out in 41.3 overs (Mohamed Reeza 17, Aman Ahamed 16, Ashan Hettiarachchi 62, H. Nissanka 29, Rashmika Waduge 17, S. Fernando 2 for 21, Nipul Withanage 2 for 21).
